Microsoft’s Web platform now included the top open source software applications in their web gallery for website builders. PHPÂ inclusion is a surprise , because the free scripting language give good competition to Microsoft’s ASP.NET.
Microsoft’s Web Platform site currently lists the following packages :
- PHP – A scripting language for dynamic Web pages, with recently improved support on Windows.
- WordPress – A Web page publishing platform most used nowadays.
- Drupal – The social website platform.
- Gallery – A Web-based photo gallery application geared toward social sites, with built-in support for private and group access to photos.
