His full name is Kieron Adrian Pollard born in 12 May 1987 is a west indies cricket player. He scored 126 on his first class debut for Trinidad and two games later he brought up another century, 117 against the Leeward Islands. His innings included six sixes and he brought up his hundred off just 71 balls. He made an equally impressive start to List A cricket, smashing 87 on his debut, against Guyana, where he got off the mark with a six and later hit another three of them in a row off left-arm spinner Veerasammy Permaul.

He played in the 2006 Under-19 Cricket World Cup in Sri Lanka and he was named in the West Indies 15-man squad for the 2007 World Cup and made his debut against South Africa in the Super Eight stage. In the exhibition match for the Stanford Superstars against Middlesex during the 2008 Stanford Super Series he smashed 26 off just 9 balls, which included 3 consecutive sixes and feats such as these have earned himself a reputation as a prolific striker of a cricket ball.

In the 2009 Champions league T-20 for Trinidad & Tobago, Pollard hit 54 runs in just 18 balls in the 15th match against New South Wales in Hyderabad. This earned the man of the match award and his side a crucial win. His display of hitting was so impressive that NSW approached Pollard after the game and attempted to sign him for themselves.

Pollard also represents the South Australian Redbacks in the KFC Twenty20 Big Bash, and has signed for Somerset County Cricket Club for the 2010 Twenty20 Cup competition. Recently he has been bought out by Mumbai Indians in the IPL auction. There was a tough fight in getting him within the franchise kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians went for the ” Silent Tiebreaker” and eventually Mumbai Indians was able to grab the flashy star for USD 750,000.

The Indian Premier League 3 ended in mumbai . West indies player Keiron Pollard and newzealand player  Shane Bond gets the maximum bids from the ipl teams with Wayne Parnell and Kemar Roach. Pakistani and Australian players has notakers at that time.

Keiron Pollard caused the first tie-breaker of the auction. It was between Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, KKR and Chennai Super Kings.

The player was sold at USD 750,000 to Mumbai Indians. The breaker was after a fierce bidding by the four franchisees, who clearly did not want to bank on the Pakistan players, due to the tensions between the ties of the neighboring nations.

Former Indian Cricket League player and New Zealand seamer Shane Bond went for a whopping USD 750,000 to Kolkata Knight Riders (base price USD 100,000) after the second tie-breaker of the auction was announced for a total of two minutes between KKR and DC.

For the first time, Under-19 players were introduced to the franchisees on draft, i.e. – A fixed amount (in this case Rs 8 lakh) was allotted to the players and a lottery was conducted to decide on which team had the first chance to grab the youngsters.

Three players, Harshal Patel, Harmeet Singh and U-19 captain Ashok Minaria were lapped up by Mumbai Indians, Deccan Chargers and Royal Challengers Bangalore respectively.

Also, Mohammad Kaif was finally bought by Kings XI Punjab for USD 250,000 in the second round of the auction. The team also bought back their former player South Africa’s Yusuf Abdullah.

The second highest bid of Group B went to West Indies bowler Kemar Roach for USD 720,000 to Deccan Chargers. The last player of the group, England bowler Eoin Morgan, was sold to Royal Challengers Bangalore for USD 220,000.

The second group’s bidding began with the auctioning of Wayne Parnell, who went to Delhi Daredevils for USD 610,000 (base price USD 200,000).

Three out of four players in the first group were unsold in the form of England’s Graeme Swann, Australia’s Brad Haddin and Pakistan’s Shahid Afridi.

India’s Number 1 mobile handset brand Nokia coming up with dual SIM mobile handsets for the Indian consumers. Nokia has not launched a dual-SIM phone yet.The exact date of launch of nokia dula sim handsets is unknown but rumours around mid of 010 (in June july ). The aim of Nokia is to provide all in one solution with dual-SIM mobile handsets. The price of Nokia dual sim mobile phones may vary from5000 to 10,o00 acording to its features.

Currenly India is a market of over a 100 million handsets and growing rapidly. Dual-SIM mobile handsets are in too much demands because people sarted using 2-3 sims at same time. Thats why karbonn, micromax mobiles have captured the market rapidly.Other like Samsung, Motorola and LG will provide tough competition to Nokia in the dual-SIM mobile handsets market. Nokia has the biggest market share among the mobile users in India.

Nokia India Activation, Media & Online Marketing head, Viral Oza said “We are actively looking at the dual-SIM mobile handsets segment.” However Viral Oza refused to make any comment on the timing of the launch of the phone. Oza was talking with reporters at the launch of its two touch phones Nokia 5230 and Nokia 5330. Nokia has not launched the dual-SIM mobile handsets yet.
