Infosys founder Narayana Murthy married her daughter Akshata Murthy with her Stanford classmate Rishi Sunak on Sunday, yesterday, in a very simple ceremony at Hotel Leela Palace here in Bangalore. This will be followed by a reception in New York in September.

The reception was attended by over 1,000 guests from the corporate world, including Wipro Chairman Azim Premji, Biocon Chairman and Managing Director Kiran Mazumdar Shaw witha mix of others like badminton ace Prakash Padukone and ex-cricketer Syed Kirmani and theatre personality Girish Karnad.
