Japan based Nissan Motor will launched its much awaited small car Micra at the Auto Expo 2010 in New Delhi. Micra will be sold in five leading competitive countries (LCCs) including India and Thailand. The Renault-Nissan alliance will invest Rs.4000 crore ($1 billion) on the Chennai plant where 400,000 vehicles would be manufactured annually under both the brand names.
Its price will be in the range of Rsd3.5 to 4 Lakhs Rs in India.

“There is no delay, our plans are on track and Nissan India will come out with its next-generation A-segment car, Micra, on schedule before summer 2010,” Nissan Motor India’s managing director and CEO, Kiminobu Tokuyama said in Mumbai
